How to Run an Effective Youth Soccer Practice
Soccer is one of the world’s most loved sports. As a result, many parents love to get their kids involved with soccer from a young age. They are able to get their kids to be active by putting them in the sport that brings people together the most. Therefore, if you are running a youth soccer practice, know that you should make it fun for the kids. Do not give them too much information, just let them play.
- A youth soccer practice should be a fun time, so to that end don’t go at it soberly expecting to encounter the next Pele.
- Don’t over-complicate the process and remember to let the kids play.
- Keep drills simple, of the type that need only be embellished by at most two points.
“As a youth soccer coach, one of your major responsibilities will be organizing and running practices.”
